About Us

More Than Just Scroll Saw Patterns

Mayberry Scrollsaw was never meant to be just another website full of patterns. The goal has always been simple: help people discover the hobby that has given us so much enjoyment over the years.

Woodworking can seem expensive and intimidating when you're first getting started. We want to make that easier. That's why we're working toward creating free tools and programs that allow anyone to design and create their own patterns, whether they've been scroll sawing for twenty years or just bought their first saw. We believe the hobby grows when knowledge is shared, not hidden behind paywalls..

This isn't just a website.

As Mayberry Scrollsaw grows, we hope to do more than provide patterns and tutorials. One of our long-term goals is helping start and sponsor our local high school in a scroll saw club. Wood shop classes are disappearing in many places, and a lot of young people never get the chance to discover the satisfaction that comes from building something with their own hands. A piece of wood, a simple pattern, and a scroll saw can teach patience, creativity, problem solving, and pride in a finished project. Those lessons are worth passing on. We're also building this site to be a place where beginners feel welcome. Everyone starts somewhere. Nobody was born knowing how to stack blades, read patterns, or cut tight corners. The scroll saw community has always been full of people willing to help, and we want Mayberry Scrollsaw to reflect that same spirit. Whether you're here for patterns, tutorials, free design tools, or just looking for inspiration for your next project, we're glad you're here. This isn't just a website. It's our small effort to help keep a great hobby alive for the next generation.

If you would like to help

Everything we build at Mayberry Scrollsaw is aimed at making the hobby more accessible. Our goal is to provide free patterns, free learning resources, and eventually free design tools that help woodworkers create their own projects. Keeping those resources available takes time, hosting costs, software development, and countless hours of work behind the scenes. If you've found value in what we're building and would like to help, donations go directly toward growing the site and expanding what we can offer the scroll saw community. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us create new content, develop new tools, and keep existing resources available for everyone. We're also working toward something bigger than a website. As Mayberry Scrollsaw grows, we want to become active in our local community by supporting woodworking education, encouraging young makers, and eventually helping establish a high school scroll saw club. We believe the next generation deserves the same opportunity to discover the joy of creating something with their own hands. When you donate, you're not simply supporting a website. You're helping build a resource that can introduce new people to the hobby, preserve woodworking knowledge, and create opportunities for future scroll saw enthusiasts. We appreciate every visitor, every shared project, and every contribution that helps move us closer to those goals.
